Freshman Brings Passion for Figure Skating to Manhattan College

She moved from Albania to the United States to pursue a college degree two years ago, bringing along her amazing and very unique talent of figure skating. The Quadrangle: Out of all the sports you could choose form, why figure skating? What sparked your interest in that particular sport? Alba Marsela:  I think it’s funny because in the beginning, I didn’t really consider it as an option for me as a path that I could choose until my parents took me to a figure skating rink one day in Albania when I was very young, just so I could see one of my friends skate, and that is kind of like when it idea sparked and they suggested I gave it a try.
